We are very lucky to live in Plainfield during this magical time of year because there are so many exciting ways to reconnect with loved ones, do a bit of shopping, and celebrate the true meaning of the season. As always, there is a lot happening this time of year in downtown Plainfield. If you enjoy supporting local small businesses come out to The Heart of Christmas to enjoy some local entertainment, take your picture with Santa, go for a hayride, make arts and crafts, watch the dance performances and indulge in some hot chocolate. There will also be a wine tasting with a variety of holiday wines from 6-9 at the Wine & Cheese Company.

Here is another fun Holiday events in Plainfield. Fans of Santa are encouraged to come out to one of the 5 sessions being held at the Santa Pop Up House. Every session will feature Santa and friends including a special appearance of Mrs. Claus. There will also be plenty of fun activities including crafts, games for the kids, balloon animals and some other special guests like the Grinch, Rudolf, Frosty, or The Elf On The Shelf. Between 40-50 children will be permitted to each session to allow for the best experience for each child.

Here is another Fun Holiday Event in Plainfield if you still need to pick up some gifts to complete your shopping list. Be sure to mark your calendar and come out to the Handmade Holiday Market. This Event takes place at the St. Mary’s Immaculate Catholic Church. Admission will only be $1.00 and all proceeds will go to benefit students and teachers of St. Mary’s. There will be more than 80 crafters features with a variety of gifts available including decor, jewelry, fashion, cards, and much more. This is a great way to give back to the local community and small businesses while finishing off that shopping list.
